An electromagnet and a photoresistor walk into some bars — threaded steel bars, with acrylic platforms suspended between them — and the photoresistor says “mmmmm” with varying emphasis on the ‘m’ to this Arduino that’s hanging out in there as well. The microcomputer in turn says “pwm” to a friend upstairs, which happens to be a circuit board soldered up with an array of MOSFETs.
Now the field-effect transistor is a sensitive creature, and communicative by nature, and so it's not surprising when it gets to chatting up the elctromagnet, which in turn goes into a fit, causing some ferrofluid, itself hanging out just up from this scene, to gather in a cluster — haha! Get it?
